Northeast Independent Living Program, Inc. is seeking a PCA Skills Specialist to support Lawrence, MA clients in accessing Medicaid PCA services and managing program documentation.

The role involves coordinating home visits with required paperwork and working with the Fiscal Intermediary to resolve issues. Ideal candidates have an Associate’s Degree in human services or equivalent, at least one year of disability services experience, strong Excel/Office skills, and bilingual English/Spanish

Qualifikationen

• Associate’s Degree in human services or equivalent experience; disability experience acceptable.
• At least one year of experience in providing services to people with disabilities.
• Proficient in Excel, Microsoft Office, database management.
• Bilingual in English and Spanish strongly preferred.
• Preference for candidates who self-identify as a person with a disability.

Aufgaben

• Provide information, orientation and determine basic eligibility to PCA services.
• Complete an initial assessment in the client’s residential setting to determine capacity.
• Respond promptly to inquiries in person or by phone.
• Document consumer visits and notes in the program’s database.
• Assist clients with paperwork to hire PCA attendants and advise on employer/employee dynamics.
• Maintain consumer case files and monitor ongoing ability to manage their program.
• Troubleshoot issues within the PCA program involving core services: peer support, skills training, advocacy and information/referral.
• Coordinate with the Fiscal Intermediary to resolve member complaints and share information as needed.
