Job summary

SumUp is seeking experienced field salespeople who are comfortable walking into a business, starting a conversation with the owner and winning new merchants in your local territory. This is self-employed, commission-only work with no base salary.

As a Field Sales Consultant you’ll prospect face-to-face, demonstrate SumUp payments, POS and software, manage your pipeline, help customers get set up and grow your client base by building relationships with owners.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of field sales experience in relevant sectors.
• Experience prospecting and approaching businesses face-to-face.
• Experience selling to small/medium businesses and owners/decision makers.
• Proven track record of winning new customers and hitting targets.
• Ability to manage a sale from first contact to closing.

Responsibilities

• Find new customers through face-to-face visits and direct outreach.
• Focus on local businesses with high payment volumes suitable for SumUp.
• Recommend SumUp payment, card-processing, hardware, POS and software solutions.
• Manage the sale from first conversation through demonstrations, objections and closing.
• Help customers get set up and start using SumUp products.
• Build relationships with business owners and seek referrals.
• Plan visits and follow-ups to maximize territory efficiency.
• Keep CRM records up to date and track activity and results.
• Review progress with Territory Manager and apply feedback.
