Job summary

Alliance College-Ready Public Schools is seeking a Special Education Instructional Aide to provide targeted instructional support to scholars with disabilities, primarily through IEP implementation in inclusive settings. The role reports to the Principal or Special Education Coordinator and works with credentialed teachers to promote access to core curriculum.

Responsibilities include following IEPs/504 plans, assisting with progress monitoring, and preparing instructional materials.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated understanding of IEPs and 504 Plans and implementing them for students with disabilities.
• Willingness to complete specialized training related to disabilities and LA Unified requirements.
• Strong communication and collaboration with teachers, administrators, and families.

Responsibilities

• Support scholars individually or in groups by following lesson plans and IEPs/504 plans.
• Monitor progress toward IEP goals and coordinate with teachers.
• Assist scholars with accessing the core curriculum in inclusive, resource, and specialized settings.
• Prepare and adapt instructional materials and manipulatives for learners with disabilities.
• Assist students with assistive technology and communication devices.
• Perform clerical duties: administer and score assessments, manage classroom supplies.
