Job summary

Alliance College-Ready Public Schools is seeking a Special Education Instructional Aide to provide targeted instructional support for scholars with disabilities. Under supervision, you will implement IEPs across general education and specialized environments, promoting access to the core curriculum and scholar independence.

You will collaborate with teachers, monitor progress toward IEP goals, and prepare instructional materials.

Qualifications

• A high school diploma or the equivalent.
• Two years of college (48 semester units), or an Associate’s Degree or higher.
• Willingness to complete specialized training related to disabilities and mandatory training with LAUSD.

Responsibilities

• Follow lesson plans and IEPs/504s to support learner progress.
• Conference with teachers to monitor student progress and IEP goals.
• Assist in remediation of learning challenges for students with disabilities.
• Prepare and organize instructional materials to support specialized learning.
• Assist scholars with assistive technology and computer-assisted instruction.
• Provide clerical support and manage classroom supplies and materials.
• Motivate positive learning behaviors and support behavior plans.
• Attend parent-teacher conferences and IEP meetings as requested.
• Participate in training on best practices for disabilities.
