Alliance College-Ready Public Schools in Los Angeles seeks a Special Education Instructional Aide to provide targeted support for scholars with disabilities, implementing IEPs in inclusive settings under supervision.

You will collaborate with teachers to adapt materials, assist with assistive technology, and help students access the core curriculum while promoting independence and participation in the school community; training is provided and the position is non-exempt.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or the equivalent.
• Two years of college (48 semester units) or an Associate’s Degree or higher.
• Willingness to complete specialized training related to disabilities and LAUSD training.

Responsabilités

• Support scholar learning following lesson plans and IEPs/504 Plans.
• Confer with Teachers to evaluate progress toward IEP goals.
• Monitor remediation of specific learning challenges for scholars with disabilities.
• Prepare, adapt, and organize instructional materials for specialized learning.
• Assist scholars with assistive technology or computer-assisted instruction.
• Provide clerical support including assessments and inventory.
• Motivate positive learning patterns and behavior for scholars with disabilities.
• Support behavior management per school policies and behavior plans.
• Attend parent-teacher conferences and IEP meetings as requested.
• Attend training related to disabilities and best practices.
• Perform additional related duties as assigned.

Formation

High school diploma or the equivalent

Two years of college (48 semester units) or an Associate’s Degree or higher

Passing CBEST (California Basic Educational Skills Test)
