Job summary

Alliance College-Ready Public Schools in Los Angeles seeks a Special Education Instructional Aide to provide targeted instructional support and specialized services to scholars with disabilities, primarily through consistent implementation of IEPs in inclusive settings.

Working under supervision, the Aide delivers tiered interventions to promote access to the core curriculum and participation in the school community.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Two years of college (48 semester units), or an Associate’s Degree or higher, or CBEST.
• Willingness to complete specialized training related to disabilities and LAUSD training.

Responsibilities

• Follow IEPs/504 Plans and assist in multiple subjects to reinforce concepts.
• Collaborate with teachers to monitor progress toward IEP goals.
• Remediate specific learning challenges and support scholars with disabilities.
• Prepare and organize instructional materials and manipulatives.
• Assist with assistive technology and computer-assisted instruction activities.
• Provide clerical support and manage classroom supplies and materials.
• Motivate and support positive learning behaviors for scholars with disabilities.
• Support behavior management per school policies and plans.
• Attend parent-teacher conferences and IEP meetings as requested.
• Participate in training on best practices for disabilities.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
