Job summary

Alliance College-Ready Public Schools in Los Angeles is seeking a Special Education Instructional Aide to provide targeted instructional support for scholars with disabilities. You will implement IEP/504 plans under supervision, assist in multiple settings, and help maintain an inclusive classroom environment.

The role involves collaboration with teachers, attendance at IEP meetings, and ongoing professional development on best practices for supporting diverse learners in a college-preparatory

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Two years of college (48 units) or an associate degree or higher.
• CBEST test as an acceptable qualification in California.

Responsibilities

• Support scholar learning individually or in groups following lesson plans and IEPs/504 Plans.
• Confer with teachers regularly to monitor progress toward IEP goals.
• Assist in remediation of specific learning challenges for scholars with disabilities.
• Prepare and organize instructional materials and adapt materials for accessibility.
• Assist with operating assistive tech and computer-assisted instruction.
• Provide clerical support including administering assessments and stocking materials.
• Motivate positive learning patterns and behavior aligned with school policies.
• Attend parent-teacher conferences and IEP meetings as requested.

Education

High school diploma or equivalent

Two years of college, 48 semester units

Associate’s Degree or higher

CBEST (California Basic Educational Skills Test)
