Job summary

Caddo Parish Schools is seeking a Paraprofessional-Inclusion/Resource/Self-Contained to assist teachers in elementary and secondary classrooms. You will work with students with disabilities, implement plans, monitor progress, and support daily instructional activities under teacher guidance.

The role involves collaboration with staff, supervising students, and upholding confidentiality under FERPA. 170 workload days and on-site duties apply.

Qualifications

• Must have a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Pass the teacher/paraprofessional assessment with a score of 450+ or have an associate degree or 48 college hours with transcripts.
• Requires ability to read, write and communicate effectively with students, families and staff.
• Ability to learn and apply Individual Education Programs and health plans as applicable.

Responsibilities

• Assist students with disabilities in classrooms and groups.
• Implement and adapt instructional plans with the classroom teacher.
• Monitor and adjust instructional plans based on student needs.
• Provide classroom supervision in study areas, cafeterias, halls, and field trips.
• Assist with health procedures and basic student positioning as needed.
• Maintain confidentiality of student information and progress.
