Job summary

Caddo Parish School District is seeking a Paraprofessional-Inclusion/Resource/Self-Contained to assist teaching staff in elementary or secondary classrooms by providing instructional support to students with disabilities. Under teacher supervision, you’ll implement plans, monitor progress, and apply accommodations and behavior supports.

Role includes health procedures, use of assistive technology, and maintaining student confidentiality under FERPA.

Qualifications

• Must have a high school diploma or equivalent and meet one of the listed additional requirements.
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules and procedures, and to communicate effectively.
• Capability to support students with disabilities under teacher direction.

Responsibilities

• Works with students with disabilities in various settings to provide instructional support.
• Implements the instructional plan created with the classroom teacher and monitors progress.
• Applies accommodations and strategies tied to Individual Education Programs and health plans.
• Maintains confidentiality of student information under FERPA and assists with behavior supports.
• Assists in using computer applications and related assistive technology with students.
• Participates in supervision duties and supports staff in daily school activities.
