Job summary

Boston Public Schools seeks an exceptional Early Childhood and Special Education Teacher with an SEI endorsement to join our community of teachers, learners, and leaders. This is a long-term substitute position starting immediately and ending on 10/15/2026, hired as per diem sub at the per diem rate of pay.

Reports to the Principal/Head of School. Responsibilities include teaching Early Childhood General Curriculum in an inclusive setting for students with Special Needs and English Language

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • Massachusetts Teaching License in Moderate Disabilities (PK-8) AND Early Childhood required.
  • Meet all state and federal guidelines to be fully licensed and Highly Qualified.
  • Authorization to work in the United States by first day of employment.

Responsibilities

  • Teach Early Childhood General Curriculum in a setting inclusive of students with Special Needs and English Language Learners (SEI).
  • Provide small-group instruction to students in the general curriculum.
  • Write and implement IEP goals and provide progress reports on student development.
  • Provide accommodations for learning and testing; develop curriculum as needed and prepare MCAS Alternate Assessment materials.
  • Collaborate with staff to support student needs for modification.
