Job summary

Boston Public Schools seeks an exceptional Elementary and Special Education teacher with an SEI endorsement to join our community of educators. This is a long-term substitute position starting 10/13/2026 and ending 04/12/2027, paid at the per diem rate for substitutes.

The teacher will provide instruction in the elementary general curriculum to students with special needs and English learners, develop IEP goals, and collaborate with teammates to support student growth.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• Massachusetts Elementary 1-6 license with SEI or ESL endorsement required.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States on first day of employment.

Responsibilities

• Teach elementary general curriculum to diverse students including those with special needs and English learners.
• Provide small-group instruction to support progress in the general curriculum.
• Develop and implement IEP goals and monitor progress.
• Provide accommodations and modify curriculum as needed; collect and analyze student work for assessments.
• Collaborate with staff to support instructional modifications.
