Job summary

S:US is seeking an Incident Management Specialist to protect the organization and the individuals we serve. You will ensure incidents are reported in compliance with regulatory requirements and that incident management activities are completed accurately and timely.

This role requires cross-department communication in a fast-paced environment, while upholding HIPAA and other applicable regulations. You will contribute to continuous quality improvement by training staff, analyzing incident

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree required with minimum of two (2) years of experience in the healthcare or non-profit field.
• Willing to travel extensively; travel requirements in multiple areas.
• Flexibility to work a on-call schedule including evenings, weekends and holidays when necessary.
• Master’s Degree preferred.
• Incident Management experience preferred.
• In lieu of Bachelor’s Degree, High School Diploma or equivalent with seven+ years of healthcare/non-profit experience.

Responsibilities

• Act as the primary QA contact for incident management reporting and processes.
• Interpret and apply incident management regulations and provide staff with guidance.
• Triages reports to ensure consumer safety and protective measures.
• Review notifications, investigations, and documentation for regulatory compliance.
• Co-chair the Incident Review Committee and document minutes.
• Produce IRC minutes and follow-ups for program management.
• Lead Incident Management trainings and develop training materials.
• Maintain incident logs and data in state systems (e.g., IRMA, NIMRS).
• Draft monthly trend reports and root cause analyses.
• Provide updates to stakeholders and coordinate with HR for swift resolutions.
