Job summary

SelectQuote Insurance Services is seeking confident, competitive, resilient, and coachable individuals to join our Qualifications Team as a Sales Qualification Associate (SQA). The SQA is the first sales contact for consumers who have expressed interest in our insurance products.

You will engage inbound prospects, understand their needs, communicate our value proposition, overcome objections, and qualify customers for transfer to a licensed agent. This is an unlicensed sales position.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Strong verbal communication, active listening, and reading comprehension.
• Clear, confident over-the-phone communication.
• Ability to handle rejection and objections.
• Competitive, goal-oriented with measurable results.
• Previous sales, call center, or performance-based experience preferred.
• Current insurance licenses are not eligible.
• Prepared to explain employment gaps or frequent transitions.

Responsibilities

• Handle inbound calls, averaging ~200 calls per day.
• Create a confident, energetic, professional, and conversational customer experience.
• Build rapport, actively listen, ask effective questions, and understand customer needs.
• Explain SelectQuote's value proposition and qualify customers for transfer to a licensed agent.
• Overcome objections and move qualified customers forward.
• Maintain engaging conversations and avoid dead air.
• Meet or exceed transfer goals and other KPIs; accept coaching.
• Adapt to changes and remain productive in a fast-paced environment.
