Job summary

SelectQuote is seeking confident, competitive, and coachable individuals to join the Qualifications Team as a Sales Qualification Associate (SQA). The SQA is the first sales contact for consumers evaluating SelectQuote’s insurance products, engaging inbound prospects to understand needs, communicate value, overcome objections, and qualify customers for transfer to a licensed agent.

This is an unlicensed sales position; candidates with current insurance licenses will not be considered.

Qualifications

• Strong verbal communication, active listening, and reading comprehension skills.
• Clear, confident, and conversational phone communication.
• Ability to respond to customer concerns and handle rejection.

Responsibilities

• Handle inbound calls, averaging about 200 calls per day.
• Engage customers with an energetic, professional, and conversational experience.
• Build rapport, listen actively, ask questions, and identify customer needs.
• Explain value proposition and qualify customers for transfer to a licensed agent.
• Overcome objections and move qualified customers forward.
• Follow scripts and processes while keeping conversations natural.
• Meet or exceed transfer goals and KPIs.
• Be coachable and apply feedback in a fast-paced environment.
