Job summary

Best Buy’s Geek Squad Agent in Elk Grove, CA, is the first point of contact for technology support. You’ll assess customers’ needs, perform basic services and collaborate with other agents on more complex repairs.

You’ll help customers set up devices, provide time estimates, and keep queues moving with accurate status updates. The role requires at least 3 months in retail or customer service and a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends and holidays.

Qualifications

• 3 months of experience in retail or customer service.
• Able to work a flexible schedule including holidays, nights and weekends.
• Passion for technology and willingness to learn.

Responsibilities

• Provide positive, timely service to customers during the check-in and checkout process.
• Understand technology issues by asking questions, listening, asking follow-ups, taking notes and providing accurate time estimates for next steps.
• Help customers set up new devices and provide advice on repair vs. replacement.
• Monitor service queues and provide accurate status updates to customers.
• Maintain knowledge and skillsets through certified training courses.
• Clearly communicate and partner with fellow agents.
