Job summary

Best Buy in Oxford, AL seeks a Geek Squad Agent to be the first point of contact for technology support. You’ll assess customers’ needs, perform basic services and collaborate with other agents on more complex repairs. If family and friends go to you with their tech questions, this might be the perfect role for you.

In this role you’ll help customers set up devices, advise on repair vs. replacement, and monitor service queues with clear status updates.

Qualifications

• 3 months of experience in retail or customer service
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including holidays, nights and weekends

Responsibilities

• Provide positive, timely service to customers during the check-in and checkout process
• Understand technology issues by asking questions, listening, asking follow-up questions, taking detailed notes and providing accurate time estimates for next steps
• Help customers set up new devices and provide advice on whether to repair or replace old devices
• Monitor service queues and provide accurate status updates to customers
• Maintain knowledge and skillsets through certified training courses
• Clearly communicate and partner with fellow agents
