Job summary

Best Buy is seeking a Geek Squad Agent at our Downers Grove store to be the first contact for customers seeking technology support and solutions. You’ll learn to assess needs, perform basic services and collaborate with other agents on more complex repairs, while helping families get the most from their devices.

You’ll build knowledge through training, provide accurate time estimates, and communicate clearly with customers.

Qualifications

• 3 months of experience in retail or customer service.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including holidays, nights and weekends.
• Passion for technology and desire to solve problems.
• Ability to adapt and learn new skills in a fast-paced industry.

Responsibilities

• Provide positive, timely service to customers during check-in and checkout.
• Understand technology issues by asking questions and providing time estimates for next steps.
• Help customers set up new devices and decide whether to repair or replace.
• Monitor service queues and provide accurate status updates to customers.
• Maintain knowledge through certified training courses.
• Collaborate with fellow agents.
