Job summary

Acosta is seeking an Associate to conduct in-store food and non-food demonstrations, acquire product knowledge, and professionally engage customers to drive sales. This role manages event equipment, assists the supervisor, and ensures a clean, compliant demonstration setup within the store.

The position involves preparing and serving food samples with safety guidelines, maintaining professional appearance, and coordinating with store personnel to meet client objectives.

Qualifications

• Education/Experience: High school diploma or GED, or 1–3 months’ related experience or training.
• Computer Skills: Proficient ability to use a PC and personal mobile device with applications and internal systems.
• Certificates, Licenses, Registrations: Food Safety Professional Certification, Local Food Handlers permit if required.
• Physical Demands: Stand, walk, lift up to 25 pounds, occasional up to 50 pounds, and operate demonstration equipment.

Responsibilities

• Manage and maintain event equipment and supplies in the store backroom.
• Act as point of contact for events when Supervisor is absent and communicate with store management.
• Lead and support the event team; train other Event Specialists as needed.
• Demonstrate products, intercept customers, and drive product sales in a professional manner.
• Prepare and serve food samples adhering to food safety guidelines and use kitchen appliances.
