Job summary

Airbus Americas, Inc. seeks a talented FDT Engineer to support in-service fleet repairs from fatigue and damage tolerance perspectives. You will perform complex F&DT analyses on metallic parts and develop repair solutions in collaboration with design and static stress teams.

Located on the Wichita campus, this onsite role requires 9 years of engineering experience, ability to read drawings, and strong communication with global partners. Contractors/temporary status may apply.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in engineering required.
• 9 years of engineering experience in an airline/OEM/MRO environment preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, BOMs, and manuals (SRM, SB, IPC).
• Knowledge of maintenance repair practices, equipment and workflows.
• Excellent written and verbal communication with global partners.
• Ability to take initiative and work in a demanding environment.
• Strong interpersonal skills and teamwork in a diverse international workforce.
• Authorized to work in the US.

Responsibilities

• Be a supportive team member within In-Service Daily Repair and/or Major Repair teams.
• Learn and support simple to routine repair tasks.
• Review and interpret damage reports of aircraft structures from Maintenance Repair.
• Develop quality repair solutions with minimal supervision.
• Create or modify technical documents within Airbus computer-based tools (SAP, AirDoc).
• Coordinate with customer and suppliers and interface with Static Stress and Design teams to devise optimum repairs.
