Job summary

Airbus Americas, Inc. is seeking a Stress / Fatigue and Damage Tolerance Engineer - Customer Service to join our Wichita, KS team. You will perform complex FDT analysis on metallic parts and work with Design and Static Stress teams to propose repair solutions ensuring airworthiness.

Expect a collaborative, fast-paced environment with a focus on high-quality deliverables. The role requires 3+ years of analysis experience, knowledge of FE methods, and familiarity with CATIA/NASTRAN/ PATRAN.

Qualifications

• BS in Engineering focusing on structural design and mechanics of materials.
• Master’s degree in fracture mechanics is desirable.
• Minor in Computer Science is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Liaise with Design and Static Stress teams to develop optimum repair solutions for airlines.
• Mentor F&D Engineers to ensure up-to-date methods and data are used.
• Ensure final repair solutions return aircraft to airworthy condition.
• Identify local improvement initiatives to boost team efficiency.
• Provide clear responses to complex repair queries within Airbus Operations and Customer Services.
