Job summary

Ampact's Math Corps program seeks a Math Tutor to support students at a local school in Modesto. You'll tutor groups of up to 3 students for 20–30 minutes, track progress, and return students to class while preparing the next group for tutoring.

You'll be coached on-site and celebrate student growth along the way. This AmeriCorps role offers coaching, training, and opportunities to give back to the community.

Qualifications

• Must be fluent in English for speaking, reading, and writing.
• Be dependable with a history of good attendance.
• Able to follow instructions and improve based on feedback.
• Proficient in basic computer skills (email, online navigation).

Responsibilities

• Be a caring adult who's focused on helping children thrive.
• Lead tutoring sessions and follow a schedule to ensure students receive support.
• Track student progress and meet regularly with the school's on-site coach.
• Conduct skill assessments and enter student scores in data software.
• Commit to your own growth through coaching and training.
• Share your experience with the community.
