Job summary

Math Corps is looking for tutors to support students at local schools, delivering 20–30 minute math practice sessions for groups of up to three students.

You will track progress, coordinate with an onsite coach, and help students build confidence through consistent, supportive instruction.

AmeriCorps members receive a biweekly paycheck, health insurance, childcare assistance, and education benefits, with opportunities for training and growth during the 2026–2027 term.

Qualifications

• Dependable with good attendance.
• Able to follow instructions and use feedback for improvement.
• Proficient with basic computer skills (email, online navigation).
• Fluent in English (speaking, reading, writing).
• 18 years or older with a HS diploma or equivalent.
• Citizen, national, or lawful permanent resident of the United States.
• Able to pass a background check.

Responsibilities

• Be a caring adult focused on helping students thrive.
• Lead tutoring sessions and follow a schedule to ensure support.
• Track student progress and meet with onsite coach regularly.
• Conduct skill assessments and enter scores into data software.
• Commit to growth through coaching and training.
• Share experiences with the community.
