Job summary

Math Corps, operated by Ampact, is seeking a Math Tutor to help students build skills at a local school in California. You’ll tutor groups of up to 3 students for 20–30 minutes daily and track progress with the on-site coach.

Join AmeriCorps with a flexible schedule for the 2026-27 school year, including part-time options; compensation is via stipend with education awards, and full training is provided. Stockton, CA residency encouraged.

Qualifications

• Must be 18+ with a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Fluent in English for speaking, reading and writing.
• Citizen, national, or lawful permanent resident of the United States.
• Able to successfully complete a background check.
• Proficient with basic computer skills (email and online navigation).

Responsibilities

• Lead tutoring sessions with groups of up to 3 students.
• Follow a schedule to ensure students receive support.
• Track student progress and meet with the on-site coach.
• Enter student scores in data software and conduct skill assessments.
• Participate in coaching and training to grow professionally.
• Share experiences with the community.
