Job summary

Cortica is seeking a School Behavior Technician to provide 1:1 behavior support to students in school settings, collaborating with educators and Cortica’s clinical team. The role emphasizes implementing BIPs and data collection within the student’s IEP goals.

This position follows a Monday–Friday schedule in California, with hours 7:30 AM–3:30 PM, plus a 4-hour daily minimum when available. BCAT/RBT credentials are required or obtained within 30 days where needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• BCAT certification or RBT credential within 30 days of employment when required by district.
• Safety training certification within 30 days of employment.
• Reliable transportation and ability to travel between work locations.
• First aid/CPR certification or ability to obtain.
• Tuberculosis (TB) clearance required.

Responsibilities

• Execute BCAT/RBT-based behavior analytic services in 1:1 and group settings within schools.
• Collect data on student progress and complete timely documentation.
• Collaborate with school teams to integrate behavioral strategies into daily routines.
• Support communication, social skills, self-regulation, and self-care development.
• Travel between assigned school sites as needed.
