Job summary

Cortica is seeking a dedicated School Behavior Technician to provide 1:1 behavior support to students in school settings, aligning with IEPs and collaborating with educators and clinical teams. This role supports students' learning, communication, and self-regulation during the school day.

The position follows a Monday–Friday schedule with hours from 7:30 AM to 3:30 PM and a minimum of 4 paid hours per day when assigned to a client, plus administrative time when not assigned.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Active BCAT or RBT credential required.
• Safety training certification within 30 days of employment required.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct implementation of holistic, neurodiversity-affirming behavior analytic services in one-on-one and group school settings.
• Implement individualized BIPs and skill acquisition programs aligned with IEP and school goals.
• Collaborate with school teams to integrate behavioral strategies into daily classroom routines and support student engagement and learning.
• Support student development in communication, social skills, self-regulation, and self-care as appropriate to the school context.
• Utilize a strengths-based treatment approach developed with the educational team.
• Collect data on student progress and behaviors during sessions and complete timely documentation (session notes, incident reports).
• Implement proactive behavior support strategies and follow school safety and crisis protocols.
