Qualifications

• Completion of a Medical Assistant program.
• Healthcare experience is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of medical terminology.
• Strong telephone communication and customer service skills.
• Excellent organizational skills with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience with electronic medical records (EHR) is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Answer a high volume of inbound and outbound patient calls with professionalism and compassion.
• Coordinate patient care by scheduling appointments and follow-up visits.
• Review patient medication lists and communicate medication information accurately with patients and providers.
• Demonstrate knowledge of common medications and medical terminology while assisting patients and coordinating care.
• Communicate with physicians, pharmacies, and specialists.
• Document patient interactions accurately in the electronic medical record (EHR).
• Maintain confidential and up-to-date patient records.
• Ensure timely follow-up with patients regarding appointments, referrals, medication questions, provider recommendations, and other care needs.
• Monitor and complete assigned tasks promptly while maintaining a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
• Assist patients with questions regarding appointments, medications, and treatment plans.
• Collaborate with providers and clinical staff to ensure seamless patient care.
• Perform additional administrative duties as assigned.
