Job summary

Viking Electric, part of the Sonepar group, is seeking a Credit Analyst in Addison, IL. This in-office role supports the Credit Department to manage accounts receivable, credit limits, and collections while collaborating with sales and account managers.

The position offers a base hourly wage with bonus potential and a comprehensive benefits package, reflecting a commitment to employees in the Midwest region.

Qualifications

• A minimum of 2 to 3 years in commercial credit or accounts receivable collections.
• A four-year degree in a business-related field (e.g. accounting, finance) or equivalent experience.
• Must have a valid driver’s license
• Limited travel
• Willingness to work additional hours to meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Handle day-to-day activity in the Credit Department while maintaining DSO and past-due AR per objectives.
• Respond to inquiries from customers and associates; authorize new orders, maintain billing info, and disclose confidential credit information as needed.
• Manage sales tax collection/documentation for assigned accounts and stay aware of state requirements.
• Meet with account managers monthly to review status and coordinate collection approaches with sales.
• Monitor credit limits, authorize shipments, and use invoicing/docs handling to ensure prompt payment.
