Job summary

SELCO Community Credit Union is seeking a Collections Associate II to contact members to resolve negative share and unsecured loan accounts, maintaining high service standards.

You will review delinquent accounts, document actions, and collaborate across departments to minimize risk and meet performance goals. A high school diploma and collections exposure are required, with a focus on integrity and confidentiality.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least one year of customer service experience.
• At least three months of collections experience.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and work with sensitive information.

Responsibilities

• Communicate with members who have negative shares and delinquent unsecured loans to resolve delinquency.
• Review, maintain, and resolve accounts on collection queue; mitigate exposure to risk.
• Send notices as required by law for collections, legal actions, and other situations.
• Maintain thorough electronic documentation of collection activities.
• Perform skip traces to locate debtors when necessary.
• Analyze accounts and determine viable alternatives such as loan modification; consider charge-off or repossession when needed.
• Coordinate with other departments to resolve accounts.
• Participate in periodic review of collection procedures and policies.
