Post University is seeking a Compliance & Contracts Attorney to serve as a legal advisor to stakeholders across the university, focusing on contracts, policy, and compliance. This fully remote role supports in-person and online programs with limited travel (<5%). You will draft, review, and negotiate a broad range of agreements and advise on regulatory matters including privacy, data security, and international compliance.

The role emphasizes collaboration, clear communication, and practical business judgment, with opportunities to shape university policy and litigation-prevention strategies in a dynamic higher-education environment.

Formación

• JD from an accredited US law school.
• Admitted and in good standing in at least one state bar; Connecticut house counsel status required
• At least two years of experience practicing as a lawyer
• Experience in higher education is welcome but not required
• Strong critical thinking and excellent legal analysis skills
• Interest in developing expertise in contract review and key contractual provisions
• Ability to develop knowledge of laws, regulations and policies related to higher education
• Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills and ability to handle multiple priorities
• Outstanding customer service skills
• Ability to convey advice clearly and effectively across formats

Responsabilidades

• Drafts, reviews, revises, and negotiates a variety of agreements including vendor and technology agreements, strategic partnerships and alliances, and agreements involving data privacy and security, international matters, and IP
• Reviews outgoing group student communications to ensure regulatory compliance
• Provides legal advice relating to ethical operations and compliance
• Assists with international compliance for our growing international student population
• Assists with intellectual property matters as requested
• Supports the legal and compliance groups with privacy, GLBA, GDPR, NCAA, FERPA, TCPA, Title VI and marketing issues
• Performs legal research, drafts and develops resource material, and conducts educational outreach within the institution
• May assist with problem-solving related to student concerns and employment matters
• Collaborates with associates throughout the University
• Other duties as assigned
