Post University is seeking a Compliance & Contracts Attorney to advise institutional stakeholders on contracts, regulatory matters, and privacy. This fully remote role involves drafting, reviewing, revising, and negotiating contracts and policies to support in-person and online programs, with limited travel.

Qualifications

• Juris Doctorate from an accredited US law school.
• Admitted and in good standing in at least one state bar; Connecticut house counsel status required.
• At least two years of practice as a lawyer.
• Experience in higher education is welcome but not required.
• Strong critical thinking and legal analysis skills.
• Interest in contract review and key provisions (copyright, data privacy, IT security, etc.).
• Eager to learn and stay updated on university-related regulations.
• Ability to develop knowledge of higher education laws and policies.
• Excellent attention to detail and multi-tasking ability.
• Outstanding customer service and communication skills.

Responsabilités

• Drafts, reviews, revises, and negotiates vendor, technology, and IP agreements.
• Reviews communications to ensure regulatory compliance.
• Provides advice on ethical operations and compliance.
• Assists with international compliance for international students.
• Supports IP matters as requested.
• Advises on privacy, GLBA, GDPR, FERPA, NCAA and related marketing laws.
• Performs legal research and develops educational resources.
• Supports student or employment matter investigations when needed.
• Works with associates across the University and handles other duties as assigned.
