Job summary

Amedisys, part of the Optum family, provides home health, hospice and community-based services to bring quality care to patients at home. As a Per Diem Speech Pathologist, you will perform in-home evaluation and treatment of speech, language, cognition, voice, and swallowing disorders, collaborating with patients, families, and the interdisciplinary team.

Requirements include a current state license to practice speech pathology, a CCC-SLP from a CAA-accredited program, and CPR certification;

Qualifications

• Current, unencumbered state license to practice speech pathology.
• Current CCC-SLP certification from a CAA-accredited program.
• Current CPR certification.

Responsibilities

• Prevent, assess, diagnose and treat speech, language, social communication, cognitive communication and swallowing disorders in adults.
• Provide aural rehabilitation and AAC support for individuals who are deaf or hard of hearing.
• Other duties as assigned.
