Job summary

Amedisys, part of the Optum family, is seeking a Per Diem Speech Pathologist to provide in-home evaluation and treatment of communication and swallowing disorders. You will collaborate with patients, families, and the interdisciplinary team to enhance communication, safety, independence, and quality of life.

Responsibilities include diagnosing and treating speech and language disorders in adults, providing aural rehabilitation, and implementing AAC for those with profound needs.

Qualifications

• Active license to practice Speech-Language Pathology in the assigned state.
• CCC-SLP certification with graduate coursework and a supervised practicum from an accredited program.
• Current CPR certification.

Responsibilities

• Work to prevent, assess, diagnose and treat speech, language, social communication, cognitive communication and swallowing disorders in adults
• Provides aural rehabilitation and AAC systems for individuals with severe expressive or language comprehension disorders
• Other duties as assigned
