Job summary

Amedisys, part of the Optum family, is seeking a Per Diem Speech Pathologist to provide in-home evaluation and treatment for speech, language, cognition, voice, and swallowing disorders. You will work with patients, families, and the interdisciplinary team to improve communication, safety, independence, and quality of life through personalized care.

Responsibilities include prevention and treatment of disorders in adults and aural rehabilitation, with an opportunity to use AAC systems.

Qualifications

• Current state license to practice speech pathology.
• CCC-SLP certification with coursework and clinical practicum from an accredited program.
• CPR certification is current and valid.

Responsibilities

• Prevent, assess, diagnose and treat speech, language, social communication, cognitive communication and swallowing disorders in adults.
• Provide aural rehabilitation for deaf or hard-of-hearing individuals and AAC systems for severe expressive/language disorders.
• Other duties as assigned.
