Job summary

Amedisys, part of the Optum family, is hiring a Per Diem Speech Pathologist to provide in-home evaluation and treatment for speech, language, cognition, voice and swallowing disorders. You will partner with patients, families and the interdisciplinary team to improve communication, safety and independence in a home-based setting.

Required qualifications include a current state license in speech pathology, CCC-SLP with CCC accreditation and current CPR certification.

Qualifications

• Current, unencumbered license to practice speech pathology in the assigned state.
• CCC-SLP certification with graduate coursework and clinical practicum in a CAA-accredited program.

Responsibilities

• Assess and treat speech, language, social communication, cognitive communication and swallowing disorders in adults.
• Provide aural rehabilitation for hearing impaired individuals and AAC support as needed.
• Other duties as assigned by the interdisciplinary team.
