Job summary

Amedisys, part of the Optum family, is hiring a Per Diem Speech Pathologist to deliver in-home evaluations and treatments for speech, language, cognition, voice and swallowing disorders. You will work with patients, families and the interdisciplinary team to enhance communication, safety and independence in a home-care setting.

Required credentials include an active speech-language pathology license in the assigned state, CCC-SLP, CPR certification, and a valid driver's license with reliable

Qualifications

Current, unencumbered license to practice speech pathology in the state you are assigned to work.
Current Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) from an accredited program.
Current CPR certification.
Driver's License and access to reliable transportation.
1+ years of experience in Speech Pathology (preferred).

Responsibilities

Provide in-home evaluation and treatment for speech, language, cognition, voice and swallowing disorders in adults.
Provide aural rehabilitation and AAC systems for individuals who are deaf or hard of hearing.
Collaborate with patients, families, caregivers, and the interdisciplinary team to improve communication, safety, independence and quality of life.
