Job summary

Amedisys, part of the Optum family, seeks a Per Diem Speech Pathologist to deliver in-home evaluation and treatment for speech, language, cognition, voice, and swallowing disorders. You will collaborate with patients, families, and the interdisciplinary team to improve communication and quality of life.

Primary responsibilities include assessing and treating adults with speech-language and cognitive disorders, providing AAC support, and performing duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Current, unencumbered license to practice speech pathology in the assigned state.
• Current CCC-SLP certification from an accredited program.
• Current CPR certification.
• Driver's license and access to reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for working to prevent, assess, diagnose and treat speech, language, social communication, cognitive communication and swallowing disorders in adults.
• Provides aural rehabilitation for individuals who are deaf or hard of hearing and provides AAC systems for individuals with severe expressive and/or language comprehension disorders.
• Other duties as assigned
