Job summary

ADT is seeking a Smart Home Consultant to guide residential customers in designing an integrated home security and IoT setup. You will combine hands-on installation with consultative sales, teaching customers how to use the app and devices effectively. The role includes in-home assessments and ongoing support to fit each home’s needs.

Successful candidates bring strong communication, a technical mindset, and the ability to adapt to new tools; a driver's license is required for local travel.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Strong customer-focused communication skills.
• Technical aptitude with smart devices and IoT ecosystems.
• Ability to explain how products work and fit customer needs.
• Willingness to learn new tools and technologies.

Responsibilities

• Deliver in-home consultations and assessments.
• Recommend smart home and security solutions based on goals.
• Install and activate security hardware and IoT devices.
• Integrate new products with existing home setups.
• Troubleshoot technical questions for customers.
• Complete onboarding and product education.
• Grow customer confidence with proactive support.
• Identify upsell opportunities to strengthen protection.
