Job summary

Deaconess Homecare, part of LHC Group within the UnitedHealth Group family, is seeking a Physical Therapist Assistant to provide treatment and patient education under the supervision of a Physical Therapist in home care settings.

The role requires following state PT regulations, instructing patients in therapeutic exercises, documenting responses, and coordinating with the care team. Weekend rotation and driving responsibilities are included, with competitive compensation and benefits.

Qualifications

• Current, licensed, registered, or certified to assist in the practice of physical therapy in state of practice.
• Current driver's license and vehicle insurance, access to a dependable vehicle, or public transportation.
• Available to work a weekend rotation.

Responsibilities

• Follow state laws governing the provision of physical therapy in home care and work under supervision.
• Instruct and aid patients in active and passive exercise, gait, ADL, transfer, and training.
• Observe, record, and report patient responses and coordinate care with the health team.
