Job summary

UnitedHealth Group, through its LHC Group affiliate Patient Care, seeks a Physical Therapist Assistant to perform treatment and provide exercise instruction and patient education under a supervising PT. This role operates in home health settings nationwide.

Responsibilities include following state laws, guiding active and passive exercises, coordinating care with the health team, and educating patients and families. Requires PTA license, CPR, a valid driver's license, and weekend availability.

Qualifications

• Must be licensed, registered, or certified to assist in physical therapy in the state of practice.
• CPR certification is required.
• Valid driver's license and access to reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Follow state-specific laws and supervise treatment plans defined by the supervising PT.
• Instruct and aid patients in active and passive exercises and mobility training.
• Observe and report patient responses, coordinating care with the health team.
• Educate patients and families on therapy within the scope of the PTA.
