Job summary

Powerback Rehabilitation is seeking a Physical Therapist Assistant to deliver in-home and outpatient rehabilitation services to older adults across the United States. You will provide focused therapy under a licensed PT, promoting independence, mobility, and well-being in the patient’s environment.

Qualifications

• Must have a valid Physical Therapist Assistant license in the practicing state(es).
• Must have a valid driver’s license or reliable transportation to patients’ residences.

Responsibilities

• Attend and contribute to patient care, staffing conferences and other required meetings as a representative of physical therapy, under the direction of the physical therapist.
• Adhere to department and patient treatment schedules, and complete timely clinical and billing documentation.
• Collaborate with rehabilitation team to implement programs and activities aligned with each patient’s needs.
• Assist the Physical Therapist when performing tests, evaluations, and complex procedures.
• Instruct patients and families in PT techniques under supervision of the PT.
• Maintain timely documentation for all patients treated.
• Inspect, maintain, and report equipment repair needs.
• Put Patient Service First by delivering high-quality, compassionate care.
• Implement individualized treatment plans and provide specific PT treatments including therapeutic exercise, functional training, manual therapy, airway clearance, and wellness education.
