Job summary

Powerback Rehabilitation is seeking a Physical Therapist Assistant to provide outpatient rehabilitation services in an in-home setting for older adults. The position emphasizes flexible scheduling and delivering customized therapy in patients’ homes or in independent living facilities.

Under the supervision of a Licensed Physical Therapist, the PTA will assist with assessments, treatments, and education, while collaborating with the rehab team to improve independence and function across diverse

Qualifications

• Valid PTA license in the state of practice.
• Must have a valid driver's license or reliable transportation to patient residences.

Responsibilities

• Attends and contributes to patient care conferences and other meetings as a representative of physical therapy under the supervision of the licensed PT.
• Adheres to department and patient treatment schedules; ensures timely clinical and billing documentation.
• Collaborates with the rehabilitation team to implement patient-specific programs and activities.
• Assists the PT when performing tests, evaluations, and complex procedures.
• Instructs patients, families, and caregivers in PT techniques under PT supervision.
• Maintains timely and accurate documentation for all patients treated.
• Cleans, maintains, and reports repair needs for equipment.
• Puts patient service first, providing high-quality, compassionate care.
• Implements patient treatment plans as established by the PT.
• Deliver physical therapy treatments including exercise, gait training, manual therapy, airway clearance, and related modalities.
• Performs other related duties as required.
