Job summary

Powerback Rehabilitation seeks a Physical Therapist Assistant to deliver outpatient rehabilitation in patients’ homes and during visits to independent living facilities. The role emphasizes functional, patient-centered care with a flexible schedule and supervision by a licensed Physical Therapist.

This position requires an active state license or eligibility, plus reliable transportation to visit patients across various settings.

Qualifications

Must have a valid license in the state(s) of practice or license eligibility.
Must have a valid driver's license or reliable transportation to patient residences.

Responsibilities

Attends and contributes to patient care and team meetings as a representative of physical therapy.
Adheres to treatment schedules and completes documentation on time.
Collaborates with rehabilitation team to implement patient programs.
Assists the Physical Therapist during tests, evaluations, and complex procedures.
Instructs patients and caregivers in therapy techniques under supervision.
Maintains timely patient documentation and charting.
Cleans and maintains equipment and reports repairs as needed.
Puts patient service first by delivering compassionate care.
Implements individualized treatment plans established by the PT.
Provides PT treatments: therapeutic exercise, functional training, manual therapy, airway techniques, and other modalities.
Performs related duties as required.
