Job summary

Powerback Rehabilitation is seeking a Physical Therapist Assistant to provide outpatient rehabilitation in in-home settings for older adults, under the supervision of a Licensed Physical Therapist. The in-home setting could be a patient's private residence or in a patient’s room in an independent living facility.

The position offers a flexible schedule and a supportive team focused on improving mobility, independence, and wellness across diverse care environments.

Qualifications

• Must have a valid license in the state(s) of practice or proof of license eligibility.
• Must have a valid driver's license or reliable, independent transportation to and from the patients' residence.

Responsibilities

• Attends and contributes to patient care, staffing conferences and other required meetings as a representative of physical therapy, under the direction of the physical therapist.
• Adherence to department and patient treatment schedule, timely clinical and billing documentation requirements as well as work related meetings.
• Works with other rehabilitation team members to implement programs and activities for each patient.
• Acts as an assistant to the Physical Therapist during tests, evaluations and complex procedures.
• Instructs patients, families and other caregivers in PT techniques under supervision of the PT.
• Maintains appropriate and timely documentation for all patients treated.
• Cleans, maintains, identifies and reports equipment repairs.
• Puts Patient Service First and provides high quality, compassionate care.
• Implements patient’s individualized treatment plan as established by the PT.
• Provides PT treatments including therapeutic exercise, functional training, manual therapy, airway clearance, and other modalities.
• Performs other related duties as required.
