Job summary

Powerback is seeking a qualified Physical Therapist Assistant to deliver outpatient rehabilitation in an in-home setting across the nation. You will work under a Licensed Physical Therapist to evaluate, treat, and support patients in their homes or in independent living facilities.

The role offers a flexible schedule and collaborative team environment, with responsibilities ranging from patient education to completing documentation and equipment maintenance.

Qualifications

• Must have a valid license in the state(s) of practice.
• Must have a valid driver's license or reliable transportation to/from patients' residence.

Responsibilities

• Attends and contributes to patient care, staffing conferences and other required meetings as a representative of physical therapy, under the direction of the physical therapist.
• Maintains adherence to department and patient treatment schedule, and completes timely clinical and billing documentation.
• Collaborates with rehabilitation team to implement programs and activities tailored to each patient.
• Acts as an assistant to the Physical Therapist during tests, evaluations, and complex procedures.
• Instructs patients, families and caregivers in treatment techniques under the supervision of the Physical Therapist.
• Maintains documentation for all patients treated.
• Cleans, maintains, identifies, and reports equipment needs.
• Prioritizes patient service with compassionate care.
• Implements individualized treatment plans as established by the primary Physical Therapist.
• Provides treatments including therapeutic exercise, functional training, manual therapy, airway clearance techniques, modalities, and health/wellness guidance.
