Job summary

Amedisys in Chattanooga, TN is seeking a dedicated Home Health Physical Therapist Assistant to deliver skilled care in patients' homes under the supervision of a licensed physical therapist, helping patients regain mobility, independence, and confidence in their own space.

You will document progress, participate in care conferences, and collaborate with a compassionate clinical team to promote wellness and prevent regression.

Qualifications

• Current license to practice as a PTA in the state of assignment.
• Graduate from an accredited PTA program as set by CAPTE.

Responsibilities

• Provides physical therapy services and interventions under the direction of a licensed physical therapist and plan of care.
• Observes and reports patient responses to treatment to supervising PT and clinical staff.
• Maintains documentation of supervisory activities in the patient’s medical record.
• Monitors patient response to PT intervention and participates in care conferences and quality improvement activities.
