Job summary

Amedisys, Inc. in Tennessee is seeking a compassionate Physical Therapist to join our home health team on a part-time basis.

You will help patients regain movement, strength, and independence in the comfort of their own homes through targeted interventions, assessments, and discharge planning. The role requires state licensure, a CAPTE-accredited PT program, CPR certification, and preferably at least one year of home health experience; less than one year may be mentored by regional leaders.

Qualifications

• Current license to practice physical therapy in the assigned state.
• Graduate from a CAPTE-accredited physical therapy educational program.
• One year of related physical therapy experience for home health entrants.
• If less than one year of experience, require approval from regional clinical leaders and mentorship/residency involvement.
• Current CPR certification.

Responsibilities

• Help patients maintain, restore and improve movement, activity and function.
• Provide interventions, conduct reexaminations every 30 days (minimum), modify interventions as needed, and perform discharge planning.
• Other duties as assigned.
