Job summary

Amedisys in Knoxville, TN is seeking a Home Health Physical Therapist Assistant to deliver skilled PT services in patients’ homes under the supervision of a licensed PT. You’ll support mobility, independence, and safety while documenting progress and coordinating with the clinical team.

The role involves a 4/10s schedule (Thu–Sun) with pay between $35.00 and $38.25 per hour, plus benefits including telehealth, PTO, wellness rewards, a 401(k) match, and family-support programs to enhance patient

Qualifications

• Current license to practice as a physical therapy assistant in the assigned state.
• Graduation from an CAPTE-accredited PTA program.
• One year related PTA experience for home health care or approval/mentoring if less than one year.
• Current CPR certification.

Responsibilities

• Provides physical therapy services under the direction of a licensed PT.
• Observes and reports patient response to treatment to PT and physicians.
• Promotes wellness and prevention and documents supervisory activities in the patient record.
• Communicates with supervising PT and team about patient progress and needs.
• Performs other duties as assigned by the supervising clinician.
