Job summary

Avid Health at Home is hiring Personal Care Aides (PCA) to serve clients in Casey County (Dunnville) and surrounding areas. The role provides essential in-home care under supervision, focusing on personal care, daily living activities, and safety in the client’s environment.

Responsibilities include assisting with bathing, grooming, mobility, meal preparation, light housekeeping, and transportation to appointments.

Qualifications

• No specific software or technical tools required.

Responsibilities

• Implements and provides day-to-day Activities of Daily Living (ADL) and IADL support to clients within their home as ordered by the physician’s plan of treatment and client’s plan of care.
• Assist with personal care including baths, grooming, dressing, and hygiene.
• Assist with elimination, transfers, ambulation, and therapy exercises under supervision.
• Perform light household tasks related to the client’s health and care plan, e.g., meal prep, housekeeping, laundry.
• Provide companionship and social engagement; accompany clients to appointments.
• Remind and assist with medication administration as directed (do not administer).
• Document shift details and services within established time parameters.
• Maintain safety, confidentiality, and professional conduct at all times.
