Job summary

Avid Health at Home is seeking Personal Care Aides (PCA) to deliver compassionate, in-home care to Madison County clients. You will follow physician-approved plans to assist with daily living activities and provide supportive household tasks.

You will work under supervision with an emphasis on safety, confidentiality, and quality care. Bi-lingual English/Spanish is a plus; CPR may be required for some clients, and flexible scheduling is available for part- and full-time roles.

Qualifications

• Current PCA certification.
• Licensure/Certification: current certification/registration with the licensing board in the Board of Nursing.
• Be in compliance with all existing regulations and company policies.
• CPR preferred and may be required for some clients.
• Bi-lingual – English/Spanish a plus.
• Must meet transportation, language, and cultural requirements specific to branch needs.
• PCAs must possess a sympathetic attitude toward care of the sick, ability to read, write and carry out directions.

Responsibilities

• Implements and provides day-to-day ADL/IADL support to clients in home as ordered by physician’s plan of treatment and client’s plan of care.
• Assist with personal care including baths, grooming, dressing, and other activities of daily living.
• Provide assistance with toileting, transfers, ambulation, and therapy exercises under supervision.
• Assist with health-related household tasks and meal preparation per care plan.
• Provide companionship and accompany clients to appointments as needed.
• Maintain safety and confidentiality; document shift details accurately and timely.
