Job summary

Avid Health at Home is hiring Personal Care Aides (PCA) for full-time or part-time in-home care in Kentucky. The PCA works under nursing supervision to provide essential ADL/IADL support, maintain safety, and assist with meals, mobility, and medications as directed by a physician’s order.

Role emphasizes compassionate care, patient dignity, and adherence to HIPAA and care plans. Training and benefits are provided to eligible staff.

Qualifications

• Current PCA certification is required.
• Licensure/Certification with the NC Board of Nursing required.
• CPR is preferred and may be required for some clients.

Responsibilities

• Provide ADL/IADL support per care plan and physician orders.
• Assist with bathing, grooming, dressing, toileting, transfers, and ambulation.
• Support client with therapy exercises under supervision.
• Maintain a clean, safe home environment per plan of care.
• Plan and prepare meals to dietary requirements; assist with feeding if needed.
• Document shift details accurately within specified time frames.
• Observe client health and report changes promptly to supervisor.
• Protect client confidentiality and follow HIPAA regulations.
